English Rentals and Trash Service features once-a-week trash collection. Other sanitation services include

20- and 30-yard roll-off dumpsters, and commercial trash pickup. We provide local, friendly, and reliable

 trash collection services. Below are answers to our most commonly asked questions.


What can I put in my trash cart?

  • Bagged and tied regular household trash
  • Small appliances (e.g., blenders, coffee makers)
  • Small tree twigs (less than 50% of cart capacity)
  • Broken down boxes


What am I NOT to put in my trash cart?

  • Household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, automotive fluids, car batteries, etc.)
  • Items too large to fit in your cart (no bulky items)
  • Hot embers or ashes, flammable items, fireworks
  • Rocks, concrete, or dirt
  • Construction, remodeling, or demolition debris (ask us about our roll-off services)
  • Unprotected needles and sharps
  • Lithium-ion batteries
  • Car parts

Trash Cart Details

  • All trash carts are the property of English Rentals Trash Service and are assigned to your service address.


What if my cart is not big enough?

  • Service includes one 96-gallon cart per household. We allow up to 3 bags free of charge. Any additional bags will be $0.40/bag. If extra capacity is required, additional carts are available for a fee.


How should I prepare my cart for pick up?

  • Bag and tie all trash before placing it in the cart
  • Place the cart at the curb by 5:00 AM on your scheduled collection day or the night before
  • Make sure carts are not obstructed by trees, mailboxes, or vehicles
  • Face the cart toward the street with the lid fully closed


How do I care for my trash cart?

  • Only place acceptable items in the cart
  • Do not overfill; the lid MUST close
  • Limit total weight to 100 pounds or less
  • Store carts in a convenient, secure location
  • Rinse carts as needed using a garden hose; Simple Green is recommended for cleaning and deodorizing


When will my trash be collected?

  • Carts must be at the curb by 5:00 AM on your scheduled day
  • Pickup times may vary due to route adjustments and new customers
  • If a delay or rescheduling occurs, notification will be sent via email or text message


When is payment due?

  • Payments are due on the 1st of the month of each billing cycle, unless otherwise arranged
  • Receipts are emailed to the address on file at the time of transaction
  • Any additional fees will appear on the monthly invoice
  • Customers are encouraged to pay via bank account or debit card to avoid a 4% credit card surcharge


How do I cancel or change my service?

  • If you wish to cancel or change your service, contact us at any time. Upon cancellation, if a balance is owed, the account will be charged up to the point of cancellation. Carts or dumpsters will be retrieved within one week.


What if I have a trash cart from another provider?

  • If you have carts from Wheat State, Villalobos, or Moran, please contact us at customerservice@englishrentals.net. We will provide a replacement cart branded for English Rentals and Trash Service.
  • Carts branded by another company, not mentioned above, cannot be emptied by our drivers.


What about Holidays?

  • English Rentals will not pick up trash on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
  • If your trash day falls on a holiday, it will be picked up on the next business day.
